Hayao Miyazaki

Manga Artist | Film Director | Animator

He is the (weird looking) co-founder of Studio Ghibli who has made many of my favorite animes. I’m not heavy into the whole anime scene, but his work is fantastic. He’s made many films, short films, manga, and some television series. I haven’t looked into much of his short films or television series but I would suggest doing so if you enjoy his films.

It’s easy to fall in love with his characters, and go “awwwwww!” at all the little cute details he adds to draw you in. There is always great meaning behind his stories; much more than any Disney movie you’ll see.
